Short summary of current and planned activities
Since 2010 EMCC Greece offers customised pro-bono coaching to members of the management teams and other executives of NGOs in one of the following areas:

• Improvement of Personal Performance
• Leadership Skills Development
• Transition or Promotion to a Higher Position
• Improvement of Personal Skills & Competencies.

Our aim is to support non governmental, non profit organisations to improve their results.  Up until today the programme has supported 77 NGOs by offering to date 1,500 coaching hours to 167 executives via 45 volunteer coaches.

The Solidarity Coaching programme received:

• In October 2014 the Bronze Award for ‘Leadership & HR Excellence’ in the HR Awards organised by the Greek Institute of Human Resources Management that made EMCC Greece one of the first non-profit organisations that receives this kind of award
• In 2015 the EMCC International Solidarity Coaching award.

Since 2017 we expanded our Solidarity activities towards graduate and undergraduate students and we established a new initiative ‘Talent Coaching for Youth’. Through this initiative we offer customised pro-bono coaching in one of the following areas:

• Self awareness (strengths, development needs, values, interests)
• Career options, developmental action plan, aiming to support career planning and increase employability opportunities.

So far the programme has supported students of two educational institutions, the International Hellenic University and the University of Piraeus, offering an average of 10 coaching sessions per student, in a pilot of 40 students.

In both projects EMCC Greece offers supervision to the volunteer coaches.

In 2019 we plan to create a new Solidarity Coaching programme offering coaching/mentoring support for start-ups or entrepreneurs in difficulty.

Former and current partners Social Responsibility partners

• 2010-2018 Executive Coaching for NGO’s: we worked with small and large local and international NGOs. We partnered with Bodossakis Foundation (fund provider to more than 70 NGO’s) and we participated in a network they have created with organisatons who actively support NGO’s. We have worked among others with Arctouros, Medecins Sans Frontieres, Greenpeace, WWF Hellas, Global Water Partnership, Klimaka, Praksis, Grammi Zwis, Anima, Kethea-Pleusis.
• 2017-2018 Talent Coaching for Youth: current partners are the career offices of the International Hellenic University in 2017 in Salonika and of the University of Piraeus in 2018. During 2019 we plan to expand Talent Coaching for Youth in a larger scale of institutions and students having incorporated in our approach the learning obtained by the program pilots.
• 2019 Coaching/Mentoring for entrepreneurs: we are presently in discussion with the Hellenic Center of Entrepreneurship and the ‘Early Warning Europe’ in Greece to set up this new project.
