Social Responsibility

General

IS THERE A CONFLICT BETWEEN SOLIDARITY COACHING AND REGULAR PAID COACHING?

There is no possible conflict, as the solidarity coachee/NGO must absolutely prove a low level of revenues in order to be enrolled in the system.

WHO CAN HELP US TO START A SOLIDARITY COACHING PROJECT?

The Solidarity Coaching group is able to help each EMCC Affiliated Country interested to develop such a project at home. You can contact the International coordinator at EMCC(dot)SolidarityCoaching(at)emccouncil(dot)org

WHAT IS THE PR STRATEGY TO DEVELOP SOLIDARITY COACHING?

Solidarity Coaching is a limited, targeted activity. Rather than running PR campaigns, we seek solid partners with whom to promote Solidarity Coaching.

WHAT IS THE SPECIFIC FUTURE OBJECTIVE FOR EMCC?

The objective is to develop Solidarity Coaching in 11 countries by the end of 2016 and to have more and more volunteer members involved in this societal cause.

HOW SHOULD WE STRUCTURE SOLIDARITY COACHING IN OUR COUNTRY?

It is necessary to have one reference person for Solidarity Coaching, acting as coordinator, in your country. This person will gather a group of members dedicated to the development of this activity.

WHAT IS THE FIRST STEP TO START SOLIDARITY COACHING IN OUR COUNTRY?

First step is to locate and partner with another active organisation, in order to find potential coachees.

WHAT IS SOLIDARITY COACHING AND WHAT IS NOT?

It is a way to contribute to a societal cause, by volunteering time, energy and professionalism, to people deeply in need.

It is not free coaching delivered to a person/NGO who can otherwise afford to cover their own fees. This would jeopardize existing coaching businesses.

WHAT KINDS OF SOLIDARITY COACHING PARTNERSHIPS ALREADY EXIST?

Several partnerships already exist in different countries e.g. Salvation Army, Swiss Red Cross, Force Femme, Solidarité Nouvelle contre Chômage, WWF, Action Aide, Greenpeace, Praksis, Klimaka, Médecins du monde, Médecins sans frontières, Global water, Frateli, Dress for success etc.

IS THERE ANY RECOMMENDED TIME LIMIT FOR RECEIVING COACHING?

Coaching process is normally between 8 to 10 sessions and a maximum 15 hours.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE ACCESS TO SEVERAL SOLIDARITY COACHING PROVIDERS?

A coachee/NGO can have access to one Solidarity Coaching provider only.

HOW AND TO WHAT EXTENT SHOULD THE INDIVIDUAL COACHING PROCESS BE REPORTED BACK TO EMCC?

Solidarity Coaching is as confidential as any regular paid coaching. Therefore the only reporting possible for each partnership is the number of coachees, coaching sessions per year, duration and the nature of the coaching objectives.
