  • 07/07/2022      Coaching Outdoors

with Mary Devine

Have you thought about taking your coaching conversations outdoors?
Mary will be sharing some research around coaching in nature as it relates specifically to coaching or mentoring.  We will engage in coaching conversations (outdoors!).  Through the debrief around your experience and observations of the coaching conversations, we will explore how you can integrate this format into your current practice (or for those who have more experience, how you could take your current practice to a deeper level). We will consider practical and logistical reflections and how nature can be used to create awareness, expand thinking and stimulate creativity in our clients.

  • 29/06/2022      Networking with EMCC Global small countries on Hubbub

coordinated by Gilles Ossona de Mendez

We are delighted to invite you to our pilot virtual networking event with EMCC members from different countries.  This event is jointly organized by EMCC Luxembourg, Belgium, Switzerland and Spain.
The event uses a dedicated networking platform called Hubbub.
It will be a great opportunity to meet informally and chat with coaches and mentors in these countries. Hubbub enables you to chat with different people at the same time, to move easily from one person to the next and, if you want to gather, in separate rooms for deeper and more intimate discussions.
This will also give you the opportunity to discover a great tool that you might wish to use with your clients.hether we are mentors, coaches or supervisors,  each one of us has one piece of the puzzle when it comes to reflecting together at how we can improve our practice.

  • 29/03/2022      Attuned-ness: what music can teach us about being attuned in our work

with Claude Alvarez-Pereyre

Often as coaches, we find ourselves wondering before, during or after a coaching session about the posture to adopt that feels “true”.  And at other times, we experience a sort of elation, a feeling that we have hit the perfect note in our session.  Wouldn’t we all like to discover a path to capturing the perfect note in future coaching sessions and relive that feeling of elation?
Given our constant search to hit the perfect note in our coaching, why not be inspired by some of the answers we may find in art and music, where this notion is at the heart of its creation?
This workshop aims to create a gateway between the way musicians work in their search for the perfect note and ways in which coaches can similarly aspire to hitting the right note in their interventions.

  • 15/03/2022      Les Mots en Coaching

with Nadège Ravoux

  • From 10/01/2022 to 14/01/2022 incl – EIA 5-Day-Challenge

with Sonata Kucinaite and Susanne Habran-Jensen

Our Luxembourg EIA 5-day-challenge should be seen as a kick-off of a journey. Thus, the purpose of the week is not to get the EIA after 5 days. However, everyone should hopefully at the end of week have a clear action plan, as well as the application form well on its way. Hence, having a flow over a period of five consecutive days allows for a positive dynamic while preparing together with EMCC Luxembourg fellows.

The field of mentoring is expanding and more and more companies say they use mentoring. But is what they do really mentoring?  What are the real differences between coaching and mentoring?

EMCC Global has recently updated its definition for mentoring after consulting international experts (researchers and practitioners) on the topic. Nadine was part of this workgroup and shared  the why behind the new definition and the current state of mentoring at EMCC Global.

Sonata is an expert in the field and a seasoned practitioner of mentoring. She told all one needs to know to have better informed conversations with your clients. She also shared examples of concrete applications of mentoring at work.

  • 26/4/21 Reflective Practice Models

with Dana Moldoveanu

As professional coaches members of EMCC we are committed to follow and sustain a practice that will allow the development of our competences as described in the EMCC competence framework. One way to do it is through (rigorous) discipline of self-reflective practice. Also, in order to advance in our accreditations we are committed to keep a self reflective log or journal that will allow us on one hand to learn and grow our competences and capabilities as coaches but also to bring evidence of this development in the accreditation process. The self-reflective practice is also interconnected with increasing the effectiveness of your supervision or intervision.

This workshop will present a few very practical reflective/learning models that will help you to (further) develop your self-reflective skills as a coach/mentor and also to keep track of it (in a log or journal). It will also give you the opportunity to practice and share the models with your fellow coaches.

with Rita Knott

Based on the evolutionary organizational development principles of the Austrian/German/Swiss company TRIGON (www.trigon.at), Rita shared with us in this interactive virtual workshop some methods and tools to support organizations in their change processes in a sustainable way.  In complex change processes, which many organizations are currently undergoing, individual and team coaching interventions may lack a holistic approach. The use of tailor made organizational development methods, from coaching at management level to mediation and conflict management, from working on corporate culture to sustainable shaping of the future, may constitute additional interventions to support the change process in a sustainable way.

“Healthy Event” – The Benefits of Laughter in the Workplace

The benefit of Laughter in the Workplace event, organized by the European Mentoring & Coaching Council (ECA/EMCC Luxembourg) and AMCHAM, hosted by St. George’s International School and sponsored by Badenoch & Clark and Ajilon Recruitment, took place on December 1.

Approximately eighty enthusiastic participants attended the workshop. Following brief welcome speeches by Marie-Brigitte Bissen, President of ECA/EMCC, and AMCHAM’s Paul Schonenberg, the session began. The moderator, Paul Flasse of TroisQuatorze16 and Laughter Facilitator at the Dr. Kataria School of Laughter Yoga, explained how laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers. Flasse then took participants through a series of warm-up exercises, laughter exercises, a laugh meditation and relaxation.

During most laughter exercises, group members keep moving and establish eye contact with each other. Most laughter sessions focus on enjoyment; laughter yoga exercises strive to cultivate the childlike playfulness that help participants to laugh without reason. Participants are encouraged to bring what they learned from the workshop into the workplace, as laughter reduces anxiety and helps fight stress.
